I'm confused by the blog name too!

My name is Himanshu, and can be fondly addressed as “Shu”. I’m a twenty something marketing student at NYU with love for art and music and ever-changing obsession with fruits. Currently on Orange, probably moving towards Grapefruit. (Pineapple is a constant obsession by the way). I love the power a good story.

I graduated with my Bachelors in Business Management and moved on to start my career with Amazon followed by time at advertising and communication agencies. I have pursued roles such as of business development associate, digital marketing manager, account manager, brand strategist and growth consultant to name a few. I really enjoy the process – the research, the strategy, the creative conceptualization, the final implementation and the impact of a campaign. The design process specifically fascinates me not only because of the sheer talent and skill required, but also the thought and ability that goes in to designing a visual language.

Music has been a passion growing up and I found love in guitar and have been playing for over 10 years. Starting my own band, writing my own music and collaborating with other musicians and writers gave me my first taste of creative expression and I LOVED it. I handled social media, developed content, strategized releases, videos, and managed the positioning of the band. Since then, I have worked in agencies with clients of all sizes in various industries for their external and internal communications.

From MNCs like GE, Tata Beverages, ITC to health and technology start-ups and restaurants, different body of work present their own learning and challenges. I even jumped at the opportunity to build and lead the Digital Marketing wing with one of my employers. I hope that on this journey, I find new fruits to fall in love with.
